Slow Down or You’ll Miss It

When things slow down, appreciate it. Especially in your business. If this pandemic has taught us anything, is that we have learned to appreciate to slow our lives down, sit with ourselves and being able to reflect on where we’ve been and where we wanna be. On my social media, I like to do Cards of the Day. Today’s card really struck a chord with me and I had to write a post about it.

“Daughters of the woods, feel thy sacred swell with suppleness. Taste the gathering of honey’s milk filling your emptiness.”

In the guidebook, it says: “Take a look at everything you’ve done and achieved. Make a store of these wins to come back to whenever you are feeling low or like you’ve failed. The easiest way to attract more abundance is to feel abundant. Having a stock pile of feel good moments will kickstart you and can help turn around feelings of lack or stagnation.”

Here’s the thing, loves. If you are mindful of where your thoughts are, it really makes a difference. Having a lack mindset only creates more lack. Instead, have a mind to be thankful for what you already have and where you’ve come so far. That’s when you’re letting the Universe know that you’re ready to receive more. To acknowledge otherwise, it’s hindering your blessings from coming.

Even the most positive people in the world, have hard, challenging moments. It’s what you DO during the lows that will help you maintain focus on the bigger picture. Like when it’s cloudy, eventually the clouds part and the sun shines through.

The waiting period is a test. Will you be patient while the tide comes rolling in? Or are you just rushing to the finish line?

During this test, slow period, etc, use that time. Don’t be hard on yourself, give yourself grace. It’s not a time to beat yourself up just because things aren’t going as you’d like. Just wait it out.

Like the caption above, the things you’re chasing will catch up to you.

One trap that it’s easy to fall into is comparison. Don’t compare yourself or your situation to others, focus on you. If anything, compare your past to where you are now. I had to do this myself recently. I was looking at other people who started their YouTube channel at the same time as me and they had way more subscribers than I did.

But then, I noticed that it took others two years to reach 500 subscribers. I reached that milestone in six months! Also, I took into account how I didn’t have a following before starting my channel, whereas this other person I was comparing myself to, had been working on their following for over a year. Perspective! It really is everything.

I’m proud of myself of how far I’ve come and so should you. Be proud of all you’ve accomplished. Go into your gallery of accomplishments, trophies, mementos, vision board, whatever it is to give you that remembrance of success and happiness. Know and trust that you will feel that way again soon because you yourself are incredible.

Claim it and it shall be. Slow down or you’ll miss it. The treasure, the blessing, the waiting, the challenge to catapult you to the next level. It’s the journey, not the destination.

Love you guys! Make good choices. Love & Light!

How are you going to slow down to appreciate how far you’ve come? How are you using your time to keep yourself in check? What are you going to be thankful for so that more of that shows up in your life?
