Monday Motivational Quotes // First Day of Spring

Happy Monday friends! I am so excited today is the first day of Spring. Also, another motivational Monday quote series where I share some quotes I’m loving that I hope to give you that oomph to get you through the day/week. Sometimes coffee is not enough and our minds may get side tracked replaying our weekends in our heads (like a movie). I figured to help you get your Monday off to a great start, I want to share my favorite quotes as a series as I mentioned on last week’s post.

Also, to kick off first day of Spring, my shenanigans from the weekend.

monday motivational quotes

“Overthinking is the biggest cause of our unhappiness. Keep yourself occupied. Keep your mind off things that don’t help you. Think positively.” – I know for me, I overthink everything. The reality is that the more you worry or stress, then the more you run out of energy and as a result, your happiness. Let’s stay busy on what we can take care of so that life will sort itself out. Always think positive because there’s always good in everything, even the bad.

“If it’s both terrifying and amazing then you should definitely pursue it.” – One time I heard someone say, your goals should make you want to throw up. It sounds drastic but very true in every sense. So often fear can kick in because it thinks we are in jeopardy. It’s that natural instinct we’re born with. Once you acknowledge the fear, don’t let it overpower you. Instead, allow yourself to prove to yourself that you can do what you set your heart and mind to.

“I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question.” – With technology in our world, nowadays you can work from home and travel at the same time. Helene is a prime example. She is out there traveling all over Europe and also working for herself (*ahem* and with me). That is just inspiring and amazing. If she can do it, why not us? We shouldn’t let life tie us down to one place because it’s comfortable. Sometimes we need to grow, push ourselves out of our comfort zones and discover what life has to offer.

That’s all I got for Monday motivational quotes. Let’s replay my movie 🎞 from the weekend.

What I was up to this weekend

Beauty & The Beast!🌹Nestor and I went last night (way late in the weekend thinking it wouldn’t be as packed, wrong!). To get to see this re-enactment of my childhood movie was such a treat. I admit I got teary eyed in this one scene, gah! I’m such a sap. Not a big fan of musicals, but this one was okay in my book. Who knew Emma Watson was a singer, she did a great job playing Belle. Did y’all go see it? Thoughts?

My family came to visit from Florida. My uncle (from my dad’s side), his wife, her sister and her husband came to visit us yesterday. I haven’t seen them in a few years so it was nice seeing them and catching up. Hopefully, I’ll get to spend more time with them today and tomorrow before they drive back.

Finally got my nails done. To some of you, this may not be life changing, but it is for me. My favorite part is that they’re gel + acrylic so they won’t get dull or chip. I got them in a cute pink color #becauseSpring.

Watched Hands of Stone on Netflix. I will need to add this one to my Top Netflix movies you gotta see. Edgar Ramirez is a hot Venezuelan who appeared in movies like Joy and The Girl on the Train. He plays Roberto Duran; a real life boxing legend. Robert DeNiro plays his boxing coach so you’re in for a good boxing movie treat, my fave!

Happy Spring everyone! 💐What were you up to this weekend? What are you looking forward to this Spring?
